These days traffic jams have become a headache for many car owners. At sometimes highways and freeways are also found to be packed with traffic jams. These traffic bottleneck have different reasons behind them and many people suffer as a consequence.

Mostly people do not expect a traffic jam and sudden encounter with it compels them to take actions that cause to elongate the traffic bottlenecks. People usually try to shift their lanes, cut people off, and start honking when they encounter a sudden traffic jam. These actions do not help to get rid of the traffic jams; instead it engages them more in it.

There are some driving tips that are highlighted below that will help you drive better in heavy traffic bottlenecks. First of all don’t try to be a conventional driver, exploiting faster lanes to combat heavy traffic, instead keep moving in the same lane. Most of the time, heavy traffic converts into traffic jam because of these insensible actions.

If you encounter a heavy traffic or traffic jam, instead of honking or changing lanes quickly, try to look for alternate ways. In case if you are not aware of the alternate ways, you can seek assistance from GPS of your mobile phone. It will help you to evade the heavy traffic or a traffic jam a lot quicker than you would evade by engaging in other activities.

Sometimes it becomes necessary to change the lane, thus in that case try to follow the car in front of you. Change the lane in accordance with the traffic flow and don’t try to go off the pattern. Make sure that your speed is good enough to be maintained with the speed of the other lane to which you are shifting.

Apart from this, another important thing while driving a car in heavy traffics is proper signaling. Proper signaling is the way to communicate with the other drivers on the road. In order to do proper signaling, you must know the language of signals. Dippers, indicators, and horn are to be used properly as to signal the other drivers. If you know how to use them properly, it won’t be difficult for you to evade from the traffic quickly.

These are some driving tips that will help you to drive appropriately and to get out of the heavy traffics and traffic congestion. All you need is to be patient and remember these tips while encountering heavy traffic congestion.

The recently conducted surveys of governmental agencies all around the world reflect alarming increase in statistics pertaining to auto accidents. Although, statistics are widely considered as fabricated reporting of an event, however, one can still feel that this is not the case with car accidents.

From the past few years, it has been observed that there is rapid increase in the number of vehicles on the road including personal and commercial vehicles. Even in most developing countries, number of car owners has outnumbered those, who do not own a car. Therefore, by these simple stats, it can be easily inferred that there has been an increase in the number of auto accidents in the recent few years.

Nowadays, with such high frequency of car accidents every year, we are all surrounded with the risk of road accident. This factor is something that needs to be focused on as we all wish to drive in a risk free and secure environment. In order to do that, we must take some precautionary measures to reduce the number of automobile accidents.

If we think upon the factors that are the reason of an auto accident, we can easily deduce the most obvious reasons of accidents are as follows:

One reason for car accidents is drunk driving

Another reason for auto accidents is rash and negligent driving

The important one is underage driving or driving without a proper license

These are the main reasons for most car accidents around the globe. These factors are not very difficult to combat with if there is enough education on these. It is easy to overcome these problems by showing some responsibility and courtesy for others. People should recognize their duties and responsibilities, and should act in accordance with them.

Apart from this, amateur drivers who prefer rash and negligent driving should be penalized severely. Speeding is indeed the primary reason for most automobile accidents. Therefore, it must be a compulsion for everyone to strictly adhere to the rules of state, or else their licenses should be cancelled straightaway.

In addition to this, parents should strictly restrain their children from underage driving as it is not only a crime but also the primary reason for the loss of several valuable lives every year. In order to completely get rid of car accidents and to make it secure for ourselves, we should consider taking the above mentioned safety precautions at our earliest.

An auto accident generally leads to panic and confusion in the victims after the car crash. Certain things run in the mind such as who and how much injury has one faced, should police be called and whose fault trigger the automobile accident. Legal knowledge of what should be done in the event on a car accident is essential and would lead one to receive the compensatory rights if they weren’t at fault. Following are some handy tips for someone who meets an auto accident:

The vehicle isn’t to be left in the middle of the road to persevere it for evidence since it will put your and other’s life at stake. One should pull the car to one side of the road, as nearer to the crash scene as possible. If the car is too damaged to be moved out, one should get out of it and move to the safer side of the road.

The police needs to be called even if the damage in automobile accident is small. Sometimes, there are hidden injuries which don’t open up early. A report in the police would be necessary to file a lawsuit against the culprit if injuries manifest late. The police report would also help to see if the other driver was intoxicated or had a suspended driving license. The police on their arrival at the crime scene of auto accident will collect vital evidences that could be later used in the court.

Vital information such as name, telephone number and insurance information needs to be shared with the other driver. Information of witnesses should also be taken as it will help in strengthening the case. Therefore, notes’ taking is always recommended at the scene of car accident since the police might miss some useful information.

Pictures of the auto accident scene must be taken. Most phones these days have high definition cameras which can help in gathering evidence. Pictures of damaged vehicles, roads geographic, injuries and skid marks plus the number plates should be taken. All this circumstantial evidence will help the car accident lawyer to document a strong case.

Medical treatment should be taken as soon as possible after a car accident. The doctors are the best judge of the injuries and an early investigation and diagnosis is always helpful.

The insurance company should be contacted and notified about the car crash event soon. They may not investigate if once is late in notifying them about the accident.

Since the emergence of motor vehicles on the roads, car accidents have been on rise. The number of auto accidents have grown with the increase in production of vehicles. It has been estimated that in US alone despite all traffic regulations and mass media warnings, six million auto accidents happen yearly. As a result of these mishaps, lives are lost and people suffer injuries which can be temporary, lifetime or may cause prolong disabilities. Since human life and finances are always at stake, it becomes a necessity to assign a car accident injury lawyer to identify the parties involved who have contributed to the liability.

One can be the driver, pedestrian or the passenger in an unfortunate car accident, as such there is a need to determine the involved parties who are responsible for the car accident liability. The most complicated phase after accident is to identify the party responsible for it. The cause of a motor accident cannot be ascertained without forensic and circumstantial evidence. The reasons of a car accident can be driver’s negligence, reckless driving, malfunctioning of car parts or maintenance problems. After an automobile disaster, the injured party should focus solely on the recovery and treatment, and should assign a legal expert to assist in the legal and financial matters.

// ]]>

An experienced attorney can look at a car crash with a vigilant eye and can unravel hidden facts. He or she can also trace involved parties and can bring them to court to fulfill the car accident liability. The violation of road safety rules needs to be minimized; therefore, the real culprit of an auto accident or a car collision should be brought to justice to protect human life in future. All culprits must be granted the sentences they deserve so the next time they are very careful.

The law has categorized car accident cases in many types of associated liabilities. These liabilities are known as public, owners and vicarious liabilities. The car collision attorney that one is going to hire is well aware with the state laws and can tackle all the associated penalties for violations. Auto Insurance laws in different states of US can be very stringent and ask for drivers to have more insurance than what the financial responsibility asks them for. Normally, states in US have placed insurance liability at a minimum of $25k per person, $50k per car accident and for property damage cover; it’s placed at $25k.

Hiring auto accidents attorneys or lawyers aren’t a problem. Legal experts are just a click away, and they will provide all their personal dedication in bringing justice to the case.

If you’re involved in an accident, you depend on your car insurance to cover any damages that are included in the policy. Likewise, vehicle insurance companies also expect you to be a responsible and honest customer, especially when filing a claim for damages. There are a couple of things to keep in mind not only to ensure that your policy will pay for damages, but also from protecting you from potential legal woes.
Honesty is Always the Best Policy

The cliche is true. While it may be tempting to “shop” among local body shops to get an estimate that reflects the most damage to your vehicle to send to your car insurance company, or conveniently drive your old clunker over a cliff, it can literally land you in a heap of trouble.

Auto insurance companies usually perform inclusive investigations when assessing claims, and if anything proves to be fraudulent, the claim is usually automatically rejected and denied. The insurance company may also decide to cancel your coverage. Furthermore, vehicle insurance fraud is a felony with harsh penalties.

Understanding Your Insurance Coverage

Many drivers simply don’t understand their car insurance coverage. The misunderstandings often result in customers attempting to file a claim not covered by specific policies. A common occurrence is accidents caused by a deer striking a moving vehicle. While most drivers assume their car insurance coverage is responsible for paying for damages from the accident; however, unless customers buy comprehensive insurance, such accidents are not covered.

Another example with winter driving, suppose you’re involved in a single vehicle accident caused by hitting a spot of black ice and crash into your neighbor’s mailbox, without collision car insurance coverage you’re responsible for damages.

Missing a Car Insurance Payment

Just as car insurance companies expect you to be a safe driver, they also anticipate to receive monthly or quarterly payments on time. Once you’ve missed a payment, insurance companies send customers a cancellation notification with a grace period when your coverage will be suspended. Although most car insurance companies reinstate coverage once payments are up-to-date; however, the problem arises if you’re involved in an accident during the lapse and suspension of coverage. In such cases, consider yourself solely responsible for paying any damages due to the accident.

Driving Intoxicated

Driving under the influence of either alcohol or drugs, or both, should be a no-brainer. The consequences of being responsible for an accident caused while intoxicated are quite severe. Not only does it have a negative effect on your car insurance coverage, but the consequences also extend into legal issues including suspension of your licenses and potential jail time.

Being a responsible and honest driver offers numerous benefits for car insurance customers. Always read your policies carefully and ask your local agent if you have questions before accidents happen. Also, to ensure your car insurance covers damages occurred in an accident, be sure to make payments on time and avoid driving while intoxicated.

Several companies are promoting vehicle insurance coverage that conveniently looks the other way if you have accident. Sounds too good to be true? Well, maybe it is. While there are some advantages to the accident forgiveness trend, there may be a few things agents don’t mention when you purchase the accident forgiveness.

The Pros of Accident Forgiveness:

Who wouldn’t appreciate a reputable insurance coverage provider simply forgiving an accident and alleviating any otherwise serious consequences? Motorists opting to test drive accident forgiveness coverage on insurance often make the buying decision based on appealing commercials without completely understanding how it works. In theory, companies offering accident forgives policies advertise no-risk coverage if you’re involved in a collision, rear-ender or fender-bender for qualified drivers.

If you have a clean driving record, then you may qualify for accident forgiveness coverage. For such drivers, in theory participating insurance companies will overlook the first accident without raising the insurance policy premium. Furthermore, insurance deductibles could be lowered by $100 annually for every year that your driving record stays clean after an accident.

Major Auto Insurance providers including Allstate, Nationwide, State Farm, GEICO, Liberty Mutual, and Progressive offer coverage with accident forgiveness insurance. Allstate, however, is among the leading provider advertising accident forgiveness benefit. With a top of the line option, as well as a mid-range policy, customers may opt for the coverage that fits their budget and insurance needs.

The Cons of Accident Forgiveness:

Thrifty consumers will soon discover accident forgiveness isn’t cheap insurance and it comes with a laundry list of stipulations. For example, Allstate offers two plans: the Gold and Platinum. Not only is there a difference in price for reach plan with the Gold costing an additional 8% and the Platinum 15% more, but there’s also different requirements for coverage on insurance. Customers opting for the Gold plan are required to keep a clean driving record for 3 years before being protected, while drivers willing to spend a little more to purchase the Platinum plan receive accident forgiveness insurance coverage immediately.

While it’s difficult to calculate exactly how much you’ll save because of individual state laws as well as various companies have different requirements for insurance coverages. If you’re considering purchasing accident forgiveness coverage, it’s important to always read the small print and compare insurance terms and conditions between participating companies. Keep in mind that some agents may not outline the cons of the policy in hopes of making a sale.

Accident forgiveness shouldn’t be viewed as a “get-out-of jail-free” card for only those who can afford it. Drivers still must be responsible and try to maintain a clean driving record in order to keep affordable insurance coverage premiums as well as retaining driver licenses.

Many drivers don’t realize the importance of a Car Insurance identification card until the unfortunate event of being involved in an accident, especially in fender benders in which they are at fault. It’s also possible when being pulled over during a traffic stop to show proof of vehicle registration and Car Insurance coverage. Also, it’s mandatory before leaving the scene of an accident to provide some form of verification that you’re properly insured to both the state police and any other parties involved.

An auto insurance card is simply some form of documentation from your insurance company verifying the basic details of your current coverage. Usually, the ID documents are small enough to fit into your wallet; however, it’s recommended to store the ID safely in your vehicle’s glove box. It’s important to keep the ID in the correct vehicle, using the VIN to correctly identify which ID card belongs in which vehicle.

Upon purchasing auto insurance, your agent will provide you with an insurance ID card for each vehicle covered on your policy. Generally agents provide a temporary card, and then mail a permanent ID along with your policy within a few days of buying insurance coverage. Other insurers, however, don’t provide policyholders with instant temporary ID. In such situations until you receive the proper documentation, keep your insurer’s name and contact information in the insured vehicle in case of an accident. Fortunately, some states are opting to rely on an electronic- database tracking system to verify current insurance coverage.

What’s listed on an ID Card?

Although various companies handle the distribution and the specific information that’s included on Car Insurance ID cards, the following are basic details that are printed on most ID cards:

• Name of the Car Insurance company
• Name of insurance agency in which coverage was purchased
• Date insurance went into effect
• Date insurance expires
• Policy number
• Named insured covered by the policy (it’s possible for additional drivers to also be listed)
• Make, model, and year of the vehicle covered
• VIN number of vehicle covered.

It’s important to keep in mind that your Car Insurance ID card may not list every driver included on the policy. For example if you give your friend permission to drive your car to work, the friend would be covered; however, your Car Insurance link to policy is considered secondary to your friend’s coverage.

If you have additional questions about obtaining a Car Insurance ID card, contact your agent or insurer for more information.

Slam! Crash! Crunch! There are few things worse to hear when driving than the sounds of an Car Accident. Unfortunately, Car Accidents and what they can do to one’s auto insurance are not fun, but are a part of life!

Regardless of who was at fault, dealing with an Car Accident and its repercussions can be somewhat stressful-especially if you are the injured party! However, being prepared in the event of an Car Accident is one of the best things you can do to make this potentially high-stress situation easier. Nevertheless, one of the most important things to do after an Car Accident is stay calm.

What to Do If You Are in an Car Accident?

Once the Car Accident has occurred and you have determined that everyone is okay, take a deep breath, and then do the following:

If no one is injured and damage is minimal, move off the road to avoid causing another Car Accident. If the vehicle cannot be moved stay in the vehicle –wearing your seatbelt- and wait for help to arrive.

Be sure to exchange auto insurance information with the other driver. Get the name, numbers, address, Car Accident policy info, make and model of the car.

Take photographs of the vehicles involved. If you can, sketch out where the vehicles were when the Car Accident occurred and write out how the Car Accident occurred.

Once the officer(s) arrive on the scene, get their name and find out when the Car Accident report will be available so a copy can be sent to your insurance provider.

If anyone witnessed the Car Accident, be sure to get their names, contact info and ask them to write down what they saw. These will be vital if there is a discrepancy in driver descriptions of the Car Accident. However, do not try to influence their statements/sketches of the Car Accident.

Always file an Car Accident report so the Car Accident insurance claims process is expedited; be sure you know what your Car Accident insurance covers.

Call your insurance agent, report the Car Accident, a.s.a.p. and find out if there is a time limit for filing an Car Accident claim. In addition, while some people may choose to not report minor bumps or scrapes, in the event that the other party chooses to report the incident you could be caught in an expensive lawsuit—that could become much worse if you failed to report the situation.

If there are significant damages or serious injuries, you may wish to call your attorney.

Having an Car Accident is never pleasurable or an experience that most of us want to repeat. However, it does not have to be a traumatic event. When you know what to do, dealing with the aftermath of an Car Accident is much easier. So, the next time you are involved in an Car Accident, don’t panic. Just take a deep breath then proceed as explained.
